Many of us had imaginary friends as young children. If your imaginary friend grew up alongside you, what would his/her/its life be like today? (Didn’t have one? write about a non-imaginary friend you haven’t seen since childhood.)
I didn’t really have an imaginary friend, but I did suck my thumb until my thirties, roughly. Does that count? I mean< I depended on my thumb for comfort. I didn’t need a friend to talk too, just the feel of comfort and company. I had a cat, named Mickey, for Mickey Mouse, and he got the blame for most of my goof-ups at home. For instance, the antenna was broken on the television and the stereo, I had this thing about taking things apart, smh. So, in true form, I blamed it on my cat. I am sure Mickey cussed me out in ‘meow’ language daily.
Other than that, my imaginary friend would eventually need to seek therapy for dealing with my inconsistencies and confusion. I am sure he will seek therapy. Yes, my imaginary friend would be a guy. Why would I want a female imaginary friend? I need one I can learn things from. 😉
